Shoes-n-Feet San Francisco Staff Profiles
Greg is originally from the Navajo reservation in New Mexico. His education in shoes and foot mechanics started when he took a job at a running store because of his love of running. Currently he coaches both beginning runners at the YMCA and a middle school track team.
He loves working for a small, personable company like SHOES-n-FEET where he gets to interact daily with people one on one. He enjoys his co-workers and his customers. He says “I get to know my customers and they get to know me. A few have even become friends.”
Christi is good person to ask your most burning shoe-fitting questions. She has been with the SHOES-n-FEET team for over 12 years! If your question happens to be “What is the most comfortable pair of shoes?” she knows that the answer is different for everyone and she will find that perfect shoe for you. Christi loves the variety she experiences living in San Francisco, in landscape, culture and food. She enjoys hiking at the Golden Gate recreation area with her family and friends. Her can’t live-without shoes? “My Haflinger felted wool clogs; I put them on as soon as I get up in the morning. I like to cook and bake and wear them in the kitchen.”
Not only is Mary a San Francisco native, she is 4th generation from the city. At SHOES-n-FEET she most enjoys the customer interactions she has each day. She likes helping people in need of shoes get the fit right! Her favorite brands to wear are the Haflinger clogs and the Paos casual shoes. In her free time, she spends time with her family, which includes her pet parakeet, Bat-bat. Her son named the purplish-blue bird when he ran around the house yelling “Bat-bat” and the bird responded to it! You can sometimes see Bat-bat on Mary’s son’s shoulder as he skateboards the streets (but yes, Bat-bat does sometimes roll off when they get going fast!).
As owner of SHOES-n-FEET, Chris has many responsibilities, but he still loves solving his customer’s footwear issues. He says “allowing them to walk comfortably again is a satisfying feeling.” He and his entire family swear by the Haflinger wool clogs, but for a dressier option, he also wears the Wolky Georgetowns. Chris likes to take advantage of the California sunshine at Off the Grid picnics in the Presidio, where his wife and 2 girls enjoy music and food on the expansive grass. But he doesn’t forget his Washington roots, remaining a loyal Seahawks and Husky football and basketball fan.
