Shoes-n-Feet Everett Staff Profiles

Kurt Brandau

Hi. My name is Kurt Brandau and I am the store manager at the Everett SHOES-n-FEET.  I have been at the Everett location since March 2008, but have worked with SHOES-n-FEET since August 2003, where I worked at the Shoreline location.  I would say the most gratifying part of my job is the relationships that I gain on a daily basis and having the ability to transform someone’s health and ultimately their life.

My most memorable experience came when I worked with a customer at the Shoreline location who had been experiencing a severe case of plantar fasciitis.   After many months of trying different things, she came into SHOES-n-FEET and asked for our help.  I suggested an assortment of products that would help in her recovery and, after a few days, she came into the store to thank me.  All of the suggestions I had made were making a considerable difference in her pain and she said, “I can walk again” as a tear welled up in her eye.   That really stuck with me.

In my spare time, I love to play golf.  I also enjoy hiking and camping when I get the time.  My life’s goal is to travel to all of the pockets of the globe and see this beautiful world.

Stop by our store in Everett and you’ll be excited by our team’s service and knowledge.

Scott McKinney

Hello, my name is Scott McKinney.  I have been with SHOES-n-FEET since May of 2009.  In my short amount of time being here, I have experienced many people with a variety of foot problems.  It is a great feeling to see someone come into the store with a particular foot issue and seeing that person leave the store feeling better.  Whether I am fitting them with arch supports, shoes, socks, or just answering a particular question that they might have.  The other day someone called the store to thank me for the job I did for them.  That made me feel great about what I do.

Previously, I worked at a running shoe store in California.  I really find the diversity of customers and the problem solving focus at SHOES-n-FEET a wonderful challenge.  It is incredibly rewarding to work here.

Other than working for SHOES-n-FEET, I enjoy playing Frisbee disk golf, watching baseball games, watching movies, or just spending time with my wife.

I look forward to helping YOU soon!

Vicki Phillips

Hi, my name is Vicki Phillips and I've been an employee at SHOES-n-FEET for two years.  I have a background in medical equipment, supplies and orthopedic supports.  For over fourteen years, I enjoyed helping people feel better.

My most memorable customer at SHOES-n-FEET hobbled in one day, experiencing very severe foot pain.  She had arthritis so bad she could hardly walk.  I put her into a rocker sole shoe and she literally danced around the store.  The transformation from being in pain to feeling good was dramatic in her case.  She was very happy!

In my spare time, I enjoy kayaking and camping when the weather is nice.  I also like to play pool and ride motorcycles.

I look forward to helping YOU one day soon!
