Driving a community forward: Monster Dash – SHOES-n-FEET

Driving a community forward: Monster Dash

Posted by Hanson Lee on

With Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to break the costumes out for SHOES-n-FEET’s 2nd annual Monster Dash 5K and Lil’ Frankenstein 1K Run/Walk. The event will take place on Saturday, October 26 with the Kids 1K set to begin at 8:45 a.m., followed by the 5K Run/Walk scheduled for 9:15 a.m.

The festivities are being put on alongside the Seattle Humane Society in support of caring for pets in need. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go towards the Seattle Humane Society and their efforts as a non-profit organization in helping pets everywhere in the greater Seattle area.

“The organization has been a great partner of ours,” said Adam Stuhlfaut, Director of Running at SHOES-n-FEET. “It’s important for us that we stand by their efforts in supporting such an impactful cause.”

Seattle Humane Society was founded back in 1897 with the idea of saving animals in need of help, and has since grown into a seven day per week pet adoption service. The non-profit provides workshops, trainings, a pet food bank and much more.

“As a locally-owned independent business, we truly pride ourselves around working with those who have helped make this community so great,” Stuhlfaut said. “We are proud to show our support for the Seattle Humane Society, and this event is one example of that.”

SHOES-n-FEET is a family-owned independent shoe store that has been proudly serving Bellevue neighborhoods for the past 21 years. For SHOES-n-FEET, it’s all about giving back to the area that has provided so much for the business over the years.
